PGT replacement sash lock

A home owner from Virgin Islands says:
We broke the handle off a PGT WINGUARD CA SERIES 740 Stainless Steel (Hurricane resistant) sash lock, left, locking the window before leaving the house for the summer season. We managed to open the window on our return, but need to replace the sash lock. I'm not certain that the PGT will accept a reversible lock - do you know? Also, your measurement from the frame to the end of the fork for the medium slider is 1 5/8 while the measurement on the one I removed is 1 7/16, just a wee tad shorter - will yours fir the PGT window? Thank you.

Hello,

We have come across your PGT lock with a 1-7/16" fork in the past but, unfortunately, we do not carry an exact replacement. Our best match would be the 38-139 with the 1-1/2" locking fork shown below, whcih can be used on the left or right side of the window as long as the dimensions will work for your application. We can't make any guarantees due to the difference in fork projection but if you decide to give it a try and run into any issues, our return policy can be found here. Thank you.
