1995 Caradco casement window hinge

A home owner from New Albany Indiana says:
I need new hinges. Based on the picture which hinge do you recommend? 36-004-10 or 36-048. What is the difference?

Hello! I agree, either our 36-004-10 or 36-048 can work for you in this case. You just need to make sure to replace both the top and bottom hinges at the same time; you never want to mix old and new hardware.

As for which of these sets to use, it's up to you. The only functional difference is that the 36-004-10 is stainless steel while the 36-048 isn't. If you live in a salt air environment then that would definitely be worth considering, but seeing as how you are from Indiana I have a feeling that ocean air is not a frequent concern. You really just have to worry about any common moisture in the air, but even then the 36-048 should work just fine.
