Hi.
I am in need of two 3030 BSI window balancers. The originals in the pictures I've attached are like 30 years old

Hello,

Take a look and compare the specifications of the S377-31 channel balance to yours. Your stamp code would correspond to the 3030 strength option shown on the balance product page.

If needed, we also carry the 16-023 Pan Am take-out clip. Take a look and compare the dimensions below to yours. Thank you!

My balancer is 30 inches and 9/16" wide.

Is there a way to take out a takeout clip without breaking it?

Also, the S37731 shoe is different from the shoe that I have I'll attach additional pictures of the shoe.

The S377 is normally used with the 15-005 winged bottom fitting but we do carry a handful of non-winged options. We'd need you to confirm the exact depth of your shoe to determine if we have a closer match that we could attach to these balances through a custom order. Thank you.

My balancer is 30".
The one you note is 31".

That is a bit strange since this type of balance stamped with 3030 would generally have a 31" long metal channel, not including the end fittings. It's possible that someone may have cut them down to size and used a different bottom-fitting for some reason.

If these balances have worked well up to this point, we can supply replacement 30" balances with the same specifications but we will need to know the depth of the bottom fitting and the exact weight of the window sash to determine the corresponding strength option for your new balances.

1. The depth on the bottom fitting is 1 3/32"
I have attached a picture of the bottom fitting.

2. 21.2 pounds

3. The 16-023 pan and clip is the correct size

4. my window balancer is 30 inches which does not include the top and bottom fittings.

Please advise as to what I need to order.

Thanks for getting back to us. It sounds like you would need the S377-30 with 2930 strength options to support a sash between 16-23 lbs. With that being said, we do not carry a non-winged bottom fitting with a depth of 1-3/32". Our closest options would be the non-winged (1") 15-002, (1-1/8") 15-001, or the winged (1-3/32") 15-004 bottom fittings.

Take a look to see if you'd like to try using balances with one of these bottom fittings attached, which we can provide through a custom order. Keep in mind that custom balances can not be returned for a refund, so we like to cover all of our bases.

The 15-001 non-winged chanel balance should work.

So it seems this is the list of what's needed.

-4 Pan AM takeout clips
-2 Chanel balancers (S377-30 w/option 2930. with 15-001 non and 19-018 tops.

Please provide the parts cost and shipping charges and next steps to place an order.

Thanks

You got it! I'll email you a purchase link and price quote right now that will let you add 2 of these balances to your cart. These will be custom assembled as per the above specifications.

Please note that the 16-023 take out clip will not be included with this link, so don't forget to add that to your cart, too. Once you've added everything to your cart, custom and non-custom, you can checkout as normal with everything all together.

Please feel free to reach out if you had any other questions.
