5 Tilt Sash Acorn Windows from 1970's no longer remain open when sash is raised

Home Owner from Charlotte, NC

At least one of the following components is damaged or missing on each of the 5 Acorn windows in a condo that was built in the 1970's in Charlotte NC:

Spiral Balance, Pivot Shoe, Sash Stop, and Tilt Latch. We anticipate changing all the components on each window.

We also need a Spiral Balance Charging Tool per the video on the SWISCO website.

A picture of each item was uploaded. The specifications identified as needed for the items in the video on the SWISCO website are:

1)Spiral Balance Tip is Orange

2)Outer Tube Length is 23 inches

3)Outer Tube Diameter is 3/8th inch

The pivot shoe and sash stop do not match those shown in the video. It appears that the pivot latch is "branded" Acorn. There are no other names, numbers, or markings that were identified on the items.

Thank you for any advice and replacement parts you can provide in support of fixing these windows.

Sincerely,

Jo

Thanks for reaching out to us, Jo. Acorn is unfortunately out of business but we were able to match the parts shown in your photos. Take a look at the specifications for the parts we've related for you on this page and compare them with yours to see what you think.
