70-075 replacement

A home owner from Florida says:
Do you sell the white piece of metal where the pin is attached? if not how is the old pin removed and the new one attached? do you need a special tool to do this? See picture. Thanks so much!

These pins are usually factory installed and are almost impossible to install on your own. We highly suggest contacting a local professional, hardware store or glass shop that have experience repairing these types of screens. Check with them to see if they can install the 70-075 for you. On the front of the housing is a Collar that needs to be pinned using a Hollow rivet tool. This is not easy to do unless you have the proper tool. I'm not even sure if you can find this tool in a local hardware store.

We don't sell the bracket you need so you might have to make that yourself using a piece of aluminum. Check with a hardware store on this part as well to see if they might sell aluminum lengths that you can cut to size. Another idea is to see if you can get the outside of the screen to use one of the wicket screen clips that we have listed for you on this page. See what you think.
