7/8 Bottom Shoe on the 31" Channel Balance 30 3 Caldwell

A home owner from Centreville, VA says:
Hello, I have a 31" channel balance with 30 3 stamp from Caldwell that I am trying to relplace. The bottom shoe measured 7/8" but I could not find any bottom shoe option with 7/8" deep and the closest one I could find was S380-31 with a winged 15-005 (1" deep), which I just placed an order for: Order# 1810623. Would this still work?

Hello there. We do carry a 15-029 7/8" deep shoe, but this is not used by any of our stock balances. It can be supplied via custom order. However, this may not be necessary for you! In most cases in my experience, yes, the 15-005 shoe will work with your sash. If it is tight, you can either return it and we'll do the custom balances for you, or can always file the heel of the shoe down a bit so it fits. Sandpaper does the trick. Just note modified items cannot be returned for refunds.
