Aged and broken hardware

A quick learner from Hollywood FL says:

No mfg, model, or part #s on this 1940s bypass sliding door hardware. These go on the door bottoms. The doors are only 3/4" thick louvered and are very lightweight. They're about 1/8" thick and the plastic is now very brittle. We want to avoid putting in a flat bottom track dividing piece as the closets are heavily accessed by small children.

Alternate ideas would be much appreciated.
