Andersen balances too short in front

A contractor from Missouri says:

I just bought 10 Andersen balances from Swisco.com. See order number 1779394 for ten of the 24-1231.

The upper sash is working fine on this window, but the lower sash comes three inches or so from the bottom and stops.

The codes on the window's original balances are

P54 12R 8 8

P56 12L 8 83

Looks like you have a 3462 Andersen Narroline window that requires a left and right hand balance. The 24-1231 will work fine for the top sash, but not the bottom. For that you will need the 24-13L for the left side and 24-13R for the right.
