Broken window balance spring identification

Hi, Im trying to fix my window that won't stay open and discovered the springs on both sides have snapped. The window weighs 12.8 lbs, and the only marking I see is "6AF" on the spring. What part do I need to replace it with?

Hey there! We should be able to help with this. However, identifying the pivot shoe is the first step. Can you show us a photo of that? Once we can ID it, we can determine the compatible springs.

Thank you very much! Our 15-087 comes to mind. This is compatible with the Series 180 coil springs. Since your pivot shoe cartridge is stamped 6R, I'd recommend the S180-06 6-pound coil spring.
