Broken window jam

Question

Hi, I have a damaged right window sash and wanted to order a window jam/top sash guide to keep the balancer in the window sash.
The piece from other side has width of 3/4 inch, length is 1 1/2 inches, depth is 1/2 inches- the hole for the screw is 3/4 an inch from the top of this piece and is located 1 1/2 inches from the top of the window sash. I am purchasing a set of balance S385-27, 2640, my window weighs 25lbs, would you recommend this balance or different weight?

I'm afraid we don't have any top sash guide that matches the dimensions given. A 3/4" width is especially weird. That's pretty huge for a part like this. I recommend double checking your measurements just to be sure.

Now, if I were to make a recommendation based just on the design of your original, ignoring your dimensions, then I think our 18-009 may be what you want. I think yours is an older part that isn't made anymore, but can be substituted by the 18-009. The catch is that you have to trim the top edges down so that it will fit. Look this part over and see if it will work for you.

As for the balance, I'm afraid I cannot confirm if the product you selected is correct or not. I would need to see the original so that I have some reference to work off of.
