Channel Balance for Silverline 3000 Tilt Window

A string/pulley mechanism broke on a channel balance for one of the sashes of a 3060 Mull window. The other channel balance is still functional. The involved sash weighs 24.7 lbs. Both of these channel balances are stamped 26 3 BS1 RL. (The BS1 could be BSI as the last symbol is simply a vertical line.) The metal channel actual measurement is 27" by 9/16" even though the number stamping starts with 26. The T-lock balance shoe is 1 1/4" wide at the base. For my channel balance selection, do I need a S795 26 or S795 27. And should my option choice be B or D?
Thanks

Thanks for posting! Since the balance has a 27" channel, you'll need to purchase the S795-27. Although, to confirm that this is the exact replacement you need, you'll want to be sure that your shoe is a closed cam, T-Lock balance shoe with a 1-1/4" width. If it is not, I'll need to see a photo of the shoe, removed from the window channel.

If your sash weighs 24.7lbs, I suggest selecting the 27D option. This will support a sash weighing 22 to 26lbs, according to the chart below the product description.

Yes, the channel measures 27" despite being stamped 26, so thanks for clearing that up. My existing T-Lock balance shoe is an open cam, so I plan on ordering one to replace the closed cam that is standard stock on your new one. Finally, the B stamped on the channel also confused me with the actual weight falling in your 27D option. Thank you very much Jasmine!

The number stamped on your original channel is a 26 3; however, that does not cross-reference with our stamps, so it is best to go by the the sash weight. The B in the stamp from your existing balance is part of the manufacturer name, which is BSI.

The shoe you have here appears to be the 15-195B open cam shoe, which is sold separately from the balance. The good news is they are pretty easy to swap out. Take a look at the video below for reference.
