My window coil balance broke - the sticker on the window suggest my window is a Simonton. Pictures of the broken coil balance and window sticker are attached.

Any help in identifying the correct replacement parts would be greatly appreciated!!

Thank you

Hello, thank you for posting,

We do not carry your exact pivot shoe, but we recommend reviewing the 15-228 as a potential replacement option. Compare the dimensions below to confirm a good fit!

Dimensions for 15-228
Dimensions for 15-228

This pivot shoe is compatible with the 3/8" thick Series 165 or the 1/2" thick Series 160. You will need to measure your original to determine the series needed. Compatible covers can be viewed on the series pages.

From there use the stamped number on the spring to determine the weighted option needed. Take a look and let me know if you have any additional questions!

Thank you, with regard to the spring, one looks like it says #5 and the other looks like it says #6... is that the weight?

Also do you have the window tilt latch replacement for this particular window?

Thanks!!

Are your coils the Series 160 or Series 165 springs? A #5 would indicate the coil can support 5 pounds of weight and a #6 would be 6 pounds.

To confirm this, can you provide the weight of the window sash? The sash would need to be removed and placed on a bathroom scale.

For the tilt latches, please start by reviewing the dimensions of the 26-243 and 26-244 to see how they compare. Let us know what you think!

Thank you! The window weighs 18 lbs,

The coils are 3/8" thick, it looks like they paired a 5 lb and a 6lb to get 11lbs per side (22lb total) which I assume is acceptable for the 18lb window.

The tilt latches also appear to be the same size (or extremely close) to the ones you referenced.

Final question, it looks like a pivot bar also broke - the current one is 4". When paired with the recommended pivot shoe (15-228) should I be looking for a particular pivot bar? Or will most/any fit?

Thank you for all of your help thus far you have been beyond helpful!!

Disregard my last post, I took the pivot posts out and got a better measurement - I've ordered all the parts I need. Thank you again so much for your help!!
