Hello, Richi. I see you bought our 15-177 pivot shoe. This is designed to be compatible with our Series 152 coil spring. As long as your old shoe is an identical match to the 15-177 then the Series 152 springs should replace the originals without issue.

You'll want to remove the old spring and use the stamp printed on the band to select the proper weight option. Failing that, you'll at least need a precise sash weight. You never want to go by estimations.

Hi Tom,
Thank you for your help but I would need the plastic holder which holds the coil springs in that is screwed into the casement

( can I buy the complete kit ? Springs & holder?
I see your springs don't have that curve at the end like mine do how does your springs fit into the pivot shoe ?

See pics & sorry for the back and forth .

these photos are a huge help, thanks! Our Series 152 spring is designed to simply screw into the 15-177. You can use our 33-072 screw for that.

As for the covers, yours are unfortunately not a style that's made anymore. Instead we recommend using the modern 15-143, 15-144, and 15-145. These components snap together over the spring to form a kind of cartridge which then screws into the track.

These parts are unfortunately only sold separately. We do not supply them as a complete kit. The benefit of that is that you only need to replace what's broken and reuse the rest.

Thanks Tom,
I just placed an order for some more parts , new and extra that you said I would need . Is there a "how to" to where the springs get connected to ?

Thanks Richi .

Are you referring to how the spring connects to the shoe? We don't have any how tos on that, but the spring band just feeds into one of those two diagonal slots you see at the top of the shoe and screws in from the side. It's very simple.
