Unfortunately, Cole Sewell has been out of business so long that model numbers don't help us very much. We will need to see photos of the handle if you want us to try to replace it. Can you send us photos of both sides?

Obviously, with Cole Sewell defunct, your handle is no longer available. I would suggest using the 40-152 or the 40-131 . These handles, along with the one you show, have 1-3/4" between the screw-holes on the lock. As for the outside, you might need to fill in any exposed holes from your existing "escutcheon plate" (the handle plate) on the exterior of the door. In fact, my neighbor used caulk to fill the escutcheon holes on a different handle set that he installed in a similar situation. That might work for you.
