Installation Instructions for S765-33 : 33" Series 765 Balance

A home owner from USA says:

I have purchased 20 of the S765-33 : 33" Series 765 Balance to repair ones that have broken in my windows.

I have found good information on other balance installation but since there's no pop out stop for them since there is the string with it. So let's assume I have gotten my lower window out, I think that I would attach the top part with the string and then pull it down and connect it to the bottom and then slide the window down on it?

I have never worked with windows before and haven't found much about these kind of balances.

I'm having trouble understanding what you've written. To install the S765-33, you first screw in the top screw tab into the window where the old screw tab went. Then, bring the shoe up to the bottom balance hook and hook it into the center slot of the pivot shoe. Place a flat head screw driver into the pivot cam and pull down the pivot shoe a few inches, then turn the cam towards you to lock it in place. Repeat for the other side and reinstall the sash.

If you ever remove these balances in the future, make sure to unhook the balance from the shoe and let it draw up to the top before you unscrew it. If you unscrew the top while the hook is still in the shoe, the top clip will shoot back into the balance and could either damage the balance or even injure you.
