Internal latch

Question

Is there a way of knowing which internal latch I need without removing the window. It is not my window and I am not at that location. Thanks for your time, Bill.

Thanks for reaching out to us! I'm sorry to say that there wouldn't really be a way for us to identify the latch you need without seeing a photo of it. We'll need to see the details of the latch and it'll need to be removed to ensure the replacement recommendation would be a match.

The next best option for a replacement, without removing the latch, would be to replace it with a surface mounted latch. We typically suggest using the 26-228 and 26-229 to replace it but there are also an assortment of other screw-in type, surface mounted latches that can be used to complete this repair.
