Is this key cylinder rekeyable? And compatible with any major brand of locks, e.g.- Schlage?

This part and your videos make it very straightforward to add a key to a sliding patio door! Well done. :D

Is the key cylinder that comes with 82-315 re-keyable?
And if so, is the keyway compatible with any major brand of locks? Or just plan to provide one's own key cylinder if desired to work with existing keys for the house?

If the cylinder isn't re-keyable, is it possible to purchase just the housing without the key cylinder?

Thank you!

Great site and very helpful and straightforward information.

Hello there!

Thank you for your kind words! That's great to hear.

As for your questions, we don't sell the 82-315's housing separately but you can remove the key cylinder that comes with it. It's re-keyable, meaning that you can put another key cylinder in there.
