Milgard Rusted Window Hinges

Hi, I have Milgard windows and the window hinges that are attached to my casement windows are all rusted and the connection sliders are failing. I'm trying to determine what parts I would need to purchase. The end slider at the bottom corner of the window has broken off so the window can't be closed.

The first pic shows the top of the window frame where the rusted hinge is screwed into it. The 2nd pic (includes the casement crank) shows the rusted hinge underneath the casement crank. The length of the hinge bracket that is screwed into the frame is 13" long. It has 4 screw hole in it.

Could you please assist me in identifying which replacement hinges I need to purchase. Let me know if you need more information. Thank you.

Hey there,

Thanks for posting! Your casement operator looks like it could be either our 39-253RB (and its opposite version 39-253LB) or our 39-439B (and its opposite version 39-438B). To confirm which of these is the correct replacement, you'll need review the video below. Take note of the differences between each operator and compare them to your existing hardware to confirm which of these you need.

Each of these operators are compatible with either the 39-375 & 39-376 folding cover kits or the 39-451 & 39-452 non-folding cover kits.

Once you've determined the operator you need, you'll be able to confirm the other compatible hardware from the 'related items' section on their respective pages in the online catalog.

In regard to the casement hinge, we do not carry one with a 13" track but I believe our 36-049 could work fine as as suitable replacement. Although, since it is not an exact match, there is a chance you may need to drill new installation holes to install them. We do advise using caution so that you do not drill into the glass pane.

Keep in mind, you'll likely need to replace both the top and bottom hinge; these can be used for the left or right side of the window.
