Need to find compatible roller set

Quick Learner from Madison, Wisconsin

I have a 35-40 year old patio door and am trying to replace the rollers. However, the new ones I see have two screws, with the upper for fastening and the lower for adjusting the rollers. Mine have only one screw, in the "upper position" (which seems to correspond to the modern-day attachment screw location. I bought a replacement set, but there is no hole in my door frame allowing access. Unless I can find the correct roller assembly, all I can think of is drilingl a hole in the right spot on my door frame, to allow access to the adjustment screw. Any suggestions?

The dimensions of my original wheel assembly are 1 1/4 diameter wheels; case is 1 1/16 wide x 3 1/8 long x 1 1/16 high.

There are no identifying markings on it. Thank you.

Hi John, thank you for posting,

The closest we carry to your original is the 81-154 roller assembly. The top screw in this roller housing is the adjustment screw like yours has. We believe the elongated cutout at the top of the housing must slide somehow into the glass door frame to hold the roller in place.

I do not believe you would need the installation hole that is on the housing we carry. Please review and let me know what you think!

Dave, that looks exactly right. I just ordered a pair. Thanks so much for steering me in the right direction.
