One broken crank mechanism, one broken lock handle

Handy Person from Minneapolis

One of my windows cranks but it doesn?t actually close. I can pull the window closed but the gear inside or something is broken, I need a new one.

Another window I have had the lock handle break off. The pictures are of non broken pieces. The picture of the crank handle is the correct side but two of the lock pictures are a mirror of the one that?s broken. Best I can tell it?s a symmetrical part though.

Help finding part numbers? Also what is your return policy and shipping costs if the part is not correct?

Thanks!

For the window that won't close, it could be either the operator or the hinge. One way to know for sure is to disconnect the operator and try opening and closing the window by hand. If it moves freely, then you need a new operator. If it still binds up, then you need a new hinge. Try that and get back to me. If it's the operator, I'd like to see a photo of yours removed so that we can identify it. Some important details are obscured in your first two photos, but removing it would allow us to know what it is for sure.

As for the lock, there are a couple different possibilities depending on your dimensions. I've made a list on this page for you to consider. Review our dimensions and see which lock listed is best.
