Not sure about the number on the Balance,(needx4) it's a little worn away? Channel is 1/2" wide and 1/2" high as opposed to the regular 5/8" variety. I am maybe thinking that the springs are maybe a little on the high side owing to the cracked and bent top window shoes on two of the windows? I'm also missing a top window stop which measures 1 x 2 inches. I would very much appreciate any help/info that you may be to provide plus the cost of replacement.
Sinserely, Tom.

Hello,

We'd be happy to look into this for you but we would need to see the top and bottom fittings of an intact balance uninstalled, as well as the clip at the end of the pulley cord, to narrow down your options.

As for the top sash guide that holds the balances in place, I'd recommend starting by comparing the specifications of the 18-180 to yours.

As for the stop, the closest part that we carry would be the 55-043. Review the dimensions below to see if this might work for your application. Thank you!

Hello Casey, Both the 55-043 stop and the 18-180 sash guide will fit perfectly. Please view additional pics of ends of a balance. Tom.

With this combination of attachments, you could have either the S380 or S385 channel balance. You’ll need to measure as shown below. The Series 380 has a 1" bottom attachment, and the Series 385 has a 1-3/32" attachment. Your stamp code would normally indicate that your balances would have 29" long metal channels, not including the end fittings. Double-check to make sure that is the case.

Your 28C stamp would generally correspond to 2830 spring strength options but that would support a sash between 16-23 lbs. If you're sure that the window sash weighs exactly 14.8 pounds, then you would need 2820 options to support between 12-16 lbs. Just let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Well, good job I measured the sash weight again, this time on a hard tiled surface and using 2 different scales and not on carpet!!! Both scales came to the same weight of 18.5 lbs so diffenately spring weight 2830. Metal channel lenght 29". Balance shoe S380 1" I will to need to purchase 4 of these for two identical windows.
I will also need x5 18-180 sash guides
" " " " x1 55-043 stop
Please let me know Total $ amount.
Thank You, Tom.
