Sliding patio door handle mechanism is broken

Milguard Windows sliding glass door, built in 1993 so door likely dates from 1992/93.
the internal mechanism is broken, latch does not extend or retract with handle movement, it just...sits there listlessly. As part of a house remodel for these nice people, we need to replace the assembly. thank you for your help.

Hi there!

Start by taking a look at our 82-080 or 82-081, if you prefer a keyed version. It's hard to say but it looks like your mortise could be our 82-268B, which works with the 89-042 strike plate. Carefully look over the dimensions for each item and compare them to your current hardware to see if this is a match for what you need.
