Hi Laura. This looks like either a S351-14 or S390-14.The only difference between these two balance Series is the 'depth' of the bottom nylon shoe. The depth is the measurement from the heel-to-toe of the shoe at its widest point, just beneath and perpendicular to where the metal channel ends. The Series 351 bottom nylon shoe has a depth of 1", whereas the Series 390 bottom nylon shoe has a depth of 1-1/8". Compare with your old balances and see what you think matches best. I personally am leaning towards the Series 390, but photos can be deceiving. If it's over 1" at all though, the S390-14 is the way to go.

Your stamp code of 1390 is from an old rating system we no longer use. Weigh your window sash. You can then match that exact weight with one of the weight ranges listed alongside each stamp option on the product page.

Hello,

Our window channels are 1/2" x 14". They are stamped 1390. I'm having a hard time finding the right shoe and weight. Help please.

Regards,

Laura

Hi Bob,
.
Thank you! Can you tell me how to weigh the sash? I'm a bit confused by how to do that. You're right about the 390. We're just slightly over 1"

Thanks,

Laura

Hi Bob,

My husband just put one of the windows on the scale. It weighed 13 pounds. Can you tell me which of the 390-14s to go with? 1310 or 1320?

Thanks,

Laura

No problem, Laura. You'll need to remove the bottom window sash and place is on a typical bathroom scale to determine what weight range it falls into. Here's the breakdown for the S390-14:

1310- 3 to 6 lbs

1320- 6 to 9 lbs

1330- 9 to 11 lbs

1340- 11 to 12 lbs

1350- 12 to 15 lbs
