Hello!
I have some windows that are at least 20-30 years old, and some of the balances have busted, and some are just really difficult so open and close. I'm capable of removing and installing the balances, but I want to be extra sure that I buy the correct replacements. The metal shaft of the balance is 31 and 9/16" long, maybe a touch over 1/2" wide, same for the depth. It's a spring and pully system on the inside. The bottom plastic bit sticks out on one side more than the other, and the top has two wings that slide into a metal track on the actual frame. There's some marker on it that says 3052, and the stamp says 3 305 BS1(?) not sure on that last bit.
I'll need 10 balances total (5 windows) and the same number of stopper clips (Some current ones are busted and the others are super rusty). Those measure 1 1/4" long by 1/4" wide.
Best,
Elliot
