old silverline windows

Contractor from princeton
I have some old what i think are silverline windows
you can remove the bottom sash by raising the sash all the way up and they come out
what i need are the snap-in molding that hold the glass in
i purchased #55-076
which matches the profile exactly to the old
But the new snap-in will not stay in the grove, keeps falling out
the attached photo of the old snap-in shows a rubber edging on the back of the old snap-ins which hold it in the track around the window

P.S. i got some 55-124 also for these windows and they fit fine

i just did a another window of the same kind,
and it had a snap-in that matches your 55-119 do you think this will work does it have the rubber edging that fits in the grove

The 55-119 snap in glazing bead does look very close to your part. Have you had the opportunity to compare our measurements with yours? These could possibly be a match.

i just tried the 55-119 and it will not fit into the grove around the window
the 55-119 edging is .097
and the old edging is .080 and it is a little loose due to age
i am just looking for something that will fit into the grove at this time
thanks

The only other solution I can think of is maybe putting a lite lubricant on the bottom rubber edge of the 55-119 snap in. That might help it slide in.

I beet on it with a hammer and it will not fit
I need something with a small profile

Do you think if you were to cut off the under lip on the 55-119, it would allow you to install it? Also take a look at the 55-077 beading to see if that would be a better fit.
