When I opened my Truth left side opening casement window two very small rusted/corroded flat tops from small screws fell off. Now the window is inoperative. The track seems to be fine. Do I just need a new slider assembly. One of the hinges says 31272 on it, in case that helps. I bought new tracks with the connected moving metal parts, but handyman thinks those are wrong parts. Any help GREATLY appreciated.

Hey there. When the slide pieces break, I am afraid the entire hinge set should be replaced. If your old hinges are comparable in size to the 10" 36-048 or stainless steel version 36-004-10, then this could work for you, so long as you replace both hinges in the window at the same time. See what you think.
