Question: Until 89-036 is restocked, On the slider that is broken, it's a like a 2-way slider, the slider with the attachment that's broken is on the right hand side and you push it and it goes to the left, the slider on the left, those locks are in tact, and pushes to the right. We can put a stick in the one in front. Are the locks interchangeable, you know left to right and right to the left? The pictures that you see, the white thing that has the crack, is on the right hand side of the door, the part that is still working is on the left hand side of the slider, so it opens on either side. If we cannot get a piece in time, or were to go on vacation, can I take that same white piece that's on the left side, put it on the opposite side of the door and lock it?

Hello,
Your internal mortise lock resembles the 82-238. We don't carry your exact handle set, but this mortise lock is commonly used with the 82-080 handle set, as well as the 89-030 or 89-036 keepers. These parts do not come in left and right versions. They are neutral and interchangeable with left and right-sliding doors. Take a look and compare the specifications of the related parts to your original hardware. Thanks for posting.
