CRank for Anderson casement windows 1968

Home Owner from Illinois

I need 14 crank/handles. I I can NoT sell my house, located in Illinois, unless I have a handle for every window .....I am a nervous wreck!

Hoping your 39-286 is the right part , before Inorder it.

Thank you,

Vicki

Hey Vicki. That code on your old crank handle is indeed often associated with an older version of the Andersen 39-286 Handle. If you want to be extra safe, send photos of the operator the handle connects to from a bird's eye perspective that includes the gear box and arms that push/pull the window; however, given the information provided, I think the 39-286 is what you need. Let me know if you have further questions.

The 39-286 fits a 3/8" diameter spline. I think this is going to be your best bet to replace the crank handles alone--just keep in mind since it's a very old operator you have I can't 100% gaurantee it. If by chance you need to replace the entire operator mechanism for any window, this type is no longer made--but we do have potential substitute solutions we can discuss if it comes to that. If you try the 39-286, let us know how you make out, and please let me know if you have further questions.
