Plastic tip color

Question

I do not see a colored plastic piece at the bottom of our balances. There is however a white plastic piece at the top. Is this the same weight rating designator?

Hello,

It is common for the colored tip to break off the base of the balance where the spiral extends from. If that's the case, you'll need to weigh the sash that the balances support. There is a chart on the product page that explains how to choose your color option based on the sash weight.

If you're unsure of the balance series you need, please get back to us with photos of an intact balance uninstalled and write out the exact diameter of the housing tube. Thanks for posting!
