Replace a window channel balance for a Lawson window sh-7700

Hi,

We need to replace a window channel balance for a Lawson window sh-7700. Would you have the parts in stock and what is the price as well please?

Unfortunately, the sticker on the window will not identify what you have nor will it help us locate a replacement. We can still help, we just need some additional details from you. If you haven't done so already, remove the balance from the window. Next, send us some photos of the part including the top and bottom attachments. You will also need to provide with the metal length measurement of the balance and any stampings or markings that may appear on the balance.

Thank you for your response. As requested, please see images attached as below. Also, the lenght is 36 inches and width 0.5 inches. The stamping with numbers are on the third image.

Please let us know if tou would need any other information.

Thank you for your pictures. It appears you have either an S380 or S385 balance.

The difference between the S380 and S385 balance lies in the shoe.

Comparison of 15-004 and 15-005

The series 385 balance has a 15-004 shoe which is slightly larger from front to back, as illustrated.

If you measure your shoe as it is pictured here, you should be able to determine which one you need.

Seems like it is the S385 which has the 15-004 shoe. What is the price on this unit?

Hi Janet. I'm not seeing the stamped number in any of your photos; it's possible glare washed them out. Could you take a clearer picture of the stamp code for us? We'll know what to recommend from there. Alternatively, you could weigh your window sash, and then match that precise weight with one of the stamp options listed on the product page.

I am not sure which option to take as this link:https://www.swisco.com/36-inch/pd/Series-385-Channel-Balances/S385-36

It is asking for the stamp in order to select the option and our stamp does not seem to be either of those. Could you please look at the image above again with the stamp and advise to which option we have to take?

Hi Bob,

I enlarged and reattached the balance with stamp. Please see of it makes sense to you. I could weigh it, but part of the balance is stuck in the window and the weight won't be accurate.

Thank you for the enlarged photo.

Based on the stamp you gave us, you would choose the S385-36 with the 3540 stamp option.
