Should I choose the green tip option?

i would like to replace these with new balancers. The ones I have in the windows broke not long after the windows were installed. My question is, I have the spiral balance with the red tip. Would it be to my advantage to go for the heavy duty green tips.

I don't think the green-tip balances would be necessary. However, you may want to consider the blue-tip option. If you'd like us to give you a recommendation, you can give us the weight of the window sash and we can help you out with a color option.
