10 inch long mortise lock

one of the hooks sticks. there is no markings on the door or on the handle to let me know who makes it, the other pic is a sticker on the door frame of the sliding patio door

This is similar in design to our 82-239. Look this lock over and see if you could use this as a replacement.

Hi Tom, I saw that too when I first searched the online catalog ....problem is which one of those switch holes operates the locking hooks? and what does the other do? so.... if I did install this part as a replacement...would the locking function be usable or would the latch not engage because of the location of the switch? would the switch by turning it up...hit the handle not allowing the switch to fully engage the hooks to lock the door because of the location of the holes?

The only reason there are two switch holes is because some doors require you to use the top one and some doors require you to use the bottom one. Regardless of which one is used, the other one will have no affect on the function of the mortise lock. It just sits there and does nothing.
