1/2" Channel balance, 23" Long Non-tilt window

A quick learner from Largo FL says:
Hi,

I'm having trouble figuring out what part I need.
The house was build in 1985.

There is a number on the part it's 2230 which may mean nothing.

I'm thinking I need S371 or S377.
The length of just the steel piece is 23"

I have pictures that I can send you.

The problem I'm having is that the top plastic piece is dried out and broken so I can't identify exactly what that top piece looks like.

Unfortunately, if the nylon fittings are too damaged, then we won't be able to identify what you need, either, not even with photos. Would you happen to know the make and model of the window? Do you have an identical window elsewhere in the house that may still have all its hardware intact?

If not, then your options are very limited. A reference of the original is necessary to ID a match. If the reference is too damaged, then there is no basis with which to make a recommendation.

A quick learner from Largo FL says:
Thank you I never even thought of that.

There has to be at least one window in the house where the balance is intact.

I don't know who the manufacturer is I can look on the window as well but I'll get that information this weekend and see if I can find a balance that is intact so I can match it up.

thank you again for your help

Sounds good! If you are able to find this balance in one piece, I would be happy to review it and give you my best judgment.
