14 2 DT CMC 2 Channel Balances

A quick learner from Las Vegas says:
I have Milgard windows and need new balances. The old ones have an ink stamp that reads 14 2 DT CMC 2. They are 16 inches long and it looks like the 19-005 top matches along with 15-005 shoe. Which balance would work?

Thank you,

Curt

Tom from SWISCO responded:
Hey, Curt. If you have the 19-005 top and 15-005 bottom then our Series 380 would likely be the match you want. However, with a stamp like "14 2" you should have a length of 15", not 16". Please make sure you're only measuring the metal channel.
A quick learner says:
Thanks Tom, You are right I buried an inch and didn't account for it being in a hurry. Would it be a good idea to order one for the optional weight? It is a fairly small window like the 1420 or above?

Tom from SWISCO responded:
With a stamp of "14 2" I would recommend the 1420 option. If you go higher than that you risk the balance not working properly, since the spring will be too strong. If you're not sure the 1420 is correct, you can always weigh your sash on a scale to confirm.
A quick learner says:
Thanks, Tom, will order them now.
