15-004 vs. 15-005

Question

I know that 15-004 is 3/32" longer. Is the longer model recommended to slighter wider window side rail gap? Just trying to determine which one to buy.

The deeper shoe is indeed meant to account for a deeper window jamb. A shoe too 'shallow' for a window jamb will result in the window sash rocking from side to side. Even that 3/32" makes a difference.
