I need to replace a couple of 395, 15" channel balances. The one in front of me is not stamped with a sash weight capacity, but there is printed on the metal body:
14 2 FT CMC 2. Does this mean anything to you? Would the sash capacity be hidden in there? Any help you could lend would be appreciated.

Hi, Chris. You're on the right track. Hidden inside that code you listed is the stamp option needed for the balance. For a "14 2" stamp, select a "1420" stamp option. You can verify that stamp by weighing your sash. It should weigh between 6 and 10 pounds. Thanks!
