Fracture of inside plate which locks and unlocks the mechanism

Or a complete new fitting of the same dimensions to fit into the door

If you can suggest or help I would be most grateful

See our 82-002 or 82-008, depending on the orientation of that locking tooth. Look over the dimensions and see if one of these handle sets could work for you.

Really to check dimensions please....

The hole in the sliding door is 7 1/8 inches by 3/4 inch and the existing lock fitting is

7 3/8 by 7/8 inch

The measurement from screw hole to screw hole is 6 5/8 inches

Does that seem ok for replacement to you?

I do understand the existing one is really ancient,..... like me

The hole spacing is what's most important here. I am pretty confident that the 82-002 will work for you in this case. The 82-008 might as well, but note that its locking tooth is pointed 'downwards', while yours is upwards as with the 82-002. Adjusting the keeper could make up for this, but in general I like going with a replacement that has the original configuration just to be safe. Let me know what you think.

I have ordered the82-002 and I'm sure that will resolve my problem
