Can I replace the Series 751 without removing the jamb?

A handy person from Winston-Salem, NC says:
Can I replace the Channel Balance without removing the jam?
The jam removal would require removal of very nice trim that I may damage. Preference is to do it in place. Spring broke on both sides. I got the old ones out, but not sure I can hook the top. Could I use the old hook?

Since it's a tilt window, you shouldn't have to remove the trim to remove the jamb liners. They should be pressure fitted, so you can try to just pull them out. However, be careful not to damage the plastic track. Depending on age and sun exposure, they may be a little brittle. Pulling them out may cause undue stress.

You should be able to use the old hook, yes.
