18-009 concerns

Question

I ordered a couple of sash guides, 18-009, and balances, S390-29 Option 2810. I thought I was ordering the correct replacement parts but there are some differences. The 18-009 sash guide looks like it’s 55/64”w x 11/16d x 1 11/32h. The original sash guide is 7/8”w x 11/16”d x 1 21/32h. The balance looks mostly the same with slight differences, mostly in the shape of the bottom guide and the flanges on the edge of the metal channel

The height of the top sash guide may not be a problem as long as the rest of the dimensions match. As long as the depth of the bottom balance fitting matches the original, you should be good to go. Have you tried to install the new top sash guides and balances in the window sash yet? If not, give it a try and let us know if you run into any trouble. Thanks for posting!
