1940 Andersen casement windows, missing crank handles

Home Owner from Kansas City

I have Andersen casement windows that were installed in my home in 1939-1940. We are missing the crank handles, it appears a prior owner removed the handles when some interior window shutters were installed that interfered with rotation of the cranks, and then the windows were painted shut. We are working on restoring these windows. Hardware is solid and operable but I need the crank handles.

Any suggestions on a part that may work?

Appreciate any guidance,

Eric

Hi Eric,

Thanks for writing in! There are a few different Andersen casement handles that could possibly be used for your repairs. Start with taking a look at our 39-267 and 39-286, there is also the 39-298 Tee Type Crank Handle.

Carefully look over them to see which of these might be the best fit. They can all fit a 3/8" spline measurement.
