1960 sliding door latch

Home Owner from Atlanta Georgia, USA
All I really need is the little "pot metal" hook which the tip is broken off. However I would be happy to purchase a new lock. I really don't care about the style (my other door has a lucite pull) I just want one that fits.
Latch and handle instal on inside and outside of door NOT within the door.
Thanks!

Hello there. It sounds like you have a surface-mounted handle set, and it looks like the center-to-center hole spacing is 3". We don't have an exact match, but I'm wondering if our 82-013 could work for you. This too is surface-mounted (i.e., the mortise lock is within the handle set itself, rather than a mechanism within the door frame), and it has a hole spacing of 3". Take a look and let me know if you think this could work for you.

Looks good. While facing my lock I turn it counter clockwise which brings the "hook" upward which enters a hole in the door jamb. I don't see why this model would not work turning the hook clockwise to enter the door jamb. I'll order it and give it a shot. Will let you know. Thanks for your prompt reply!

It looks like I'm trying to replace the same door handle as you - did the door frame (hole) take the down facing locking mechanism? Thanks in advance for your help!
