1960's 4' x 8' sliding glass door roller

A home owner from Florida says:

Please see attached top, back and side photos. Unit housing width = 3/4 in. Unit housing height = 1 11/16. Wheel diameter = 1 11/16. Wheel Material is nylon.

Units are attached to glass door bottom aluminum rail with drift pins. Note that the end view shows the top phillips head bolt must be the adjusting mechanism. The bottom hole in same photo is where another phillips head bolt goes to fasten bottom rail to the door frame. I don't understand how the adjusting bolt works unless somthing is missing. Two units per door are identical.

Hello,

Unfortunately, we could not find an exact match for your roller but we did relate a few similar options on this page. See if you could drill a hole in one of the roller housings for the "drift" pin to secure it in the bottom door rail. However, that pin could interfere with the internal adjustment mechanism.

I believe you should take a look at the 81-004 and the 81-278 rollers housings. Please note that you will need to remove the bottom rail completely from the bottom of the glass. With the rail removed, you will need to drill a "counter sink" hole in the bottom of the rail so you can install the 33-104 screw into the top of the roller housing to secure the roller in the bottom rail. Take a look at the installation description below to get an idea of how these rollers are installed. Thanks for posting.
