1960s Reutan and Vistarama Window Replacement parts.

Home Owner from Oxford, Ohio

Hello,

First, I would like to say thanks for being here!

I'm doing some window restoration.

1) I'm missing one window hasp as pictured.

2). I would like to replace some worn weather stripping. The dimensions on the photo are:

H: 1/4 inch

w: 1/4 inch

I hope you have those items in stock to help in my restoration efforts.

Kind regards.

Hey there Dana! We appreciate you reaching out to us. The 38-135 keeper resembles what you show here. This is an Andersen brand part that's designed to work with the 38-056 and 38-057 though I'm not sure if they're what you have.

I'm afraid we don't sell pile with your exact specifications though. The 58-045 and 58-127 appear to be our closest options but we can't make any promises. We do offer samples so let me know if you'd be interested. You can also find our full selection of pile here

Hi Emily,

Thank you for your analysis!

The keeper measurement matches what I have.

I've attached photos of the lock, which has a handle that always falls out and needs to be replaced. The thickness is 1 inch.

Would 38-056 and 38-057 work? I notice the screw holes are different.

Please send me the two samples of the pile you suggest.

Looking forward to your response.

Regards.

-Dana

No, the 38-056 and 38-057 won't work to replace your old lock. I recommend you look at the 38-097 and 38-098 sash locks instead. Your old keeper isn't compatible so you will need the 38-079 as well (sold separately).

I'll also email you an order link that will allow you to add samples of the 58-045 and 58-127 to your cart.

I'll be here if you have any questions!

Hi Emily,

It looks like 38-098 will work, but I notice there are only 2 screws, and my lock has 4 screws. Do you believe it will work?

I will order 1 as a test, and then if it works, I'll order another one or perhaps replace them all.

Regards.

-Dana

Our sash locks should still work for you as long as the rest of the specifications match up! Our return policy can be found here just in case.

Sounds good, Emily.

I've ordered the lock, catcher, and the samples you provided.

Thanks for your help!
