1960s awning crank window operator and crank

Question

Hello! The crank dial thingie is stripped so that you have to manually pull the window open and then the crank resumes working to full open. I do not have the crank - my dad lost it years ago so I tried with one from another window and that is what I discovered. The thing is heavy - steel, maybe? The arms are 21.

When the arms are condensed like the window would be closed, they measure 21.5" across. The steel plate part is 5" across.

Hello! It definitely sounds like you need a new operator. Based on your photos and the measurements given, I recommend the 39-083. This should work well for you. If you also needed a new handle, then our 39-114L will work perfectly.
