1963 Hinged Bifold door jumps track

A quick learner from Springfield, VA says:
1963 home. The bifold doors are hinged like a traditional door. The one keeps jumping off the track and the plastic piece that holds the track to the jamb appears worn. The long plastic slide sits in the track and that's what the door pin sits in. Track is only on the top. No track on the bottom.

1) Is that part replaceable? If not, can we replace the complete track assembly? All the replacement kits appears to be for doors that pivot. The door sections are holllow wood, 14 3/4 wide. And the current track section is 25 15/16 inches long.

Hello,

Unfortunately, your door hardware is too old to find direct replacements. We suggest removing your hardware and track and replacing it with the 23-453 (36") track and cut the length down with a hacksaw. Now, drill 15/32" holes on the top and bottom of the door for the two 23-121 top pins and 23-151 bottom pivot pin 1/1/4" in from the door edge and center them. Next, install the 23-312 bottom corner bracket. You will raise and lower the door by adjusting the 23-151 pivot pin. Look over the parts we've related for you to see what you think. Thanks for posting!
