1970's Slim Bi-fold Metal Closet Doors - Replacement Hardware

Quick Learner
I've just replaced my floors with LVP, and I had to remove all the bottom tracks for my closet metal bi-fold doors. I'm wondering if I can eliminate the bottom track and convert it to a floating bi-fold, because I'd rather not drill holes in my beautiful new floors. If that is not possible, I'd like to replace the rods w/springs, mounting brackets, bottom tracks, and other disposable parts for my application. Closet openings range from 23 3/4" single bi-fold door to 47 3/4" double bi-fold.

I've included some pictures to help you identify the correct hardware. Please let me know if you need more information.

Hey there. Can you tell us the diameter of the pins and the diameter of the caps atop the pins? Is there any label on the door you can show us? that will help narrow this all down.

Quick Learner

The Diameter of the Pins is 1/4".

The Diameter of the top of the Caps is 3/8". And, the Brim is 3/4".

I have brand new wood floors, can it be floataway, so there's no Track on the bottom.

Keep the Top Track.

Thank you.

Thanks! Based on your photos and the provided dimensions, i recommend looking at our 21-007 first. This is similar in design to your old guide pin, and even uses the same kind of plastic sleeve. We sell a more modern version but we used to sell an old version that had the same tapered end as your original (visible in your first photo). At this stage I feel confident that it's a match, but look it over and see what you think.

This is commonly used with the 21-001A bottom pivot. This may be your other pin, so make sure to compare these as well.
