1973 Mobile Home Sliding Door Rollers

Quick Learner from Santa Barbara, California

Hello, I'm in need of 2 new rollers for my aluminum sliding door. I was able to remove the wheels but have had no luck in replacing them and I hope you can help. The door is old, a little over 6 feet tall with a single sliding glass.

The roller itself is approx. 1 3/8" tall (to the tang). 1/2" wide with a wheel that is 1 1/4" diameter.

It isn't flared. The adjustment screw (below the tang) pushes against 'the top' of the wheel housing forcing the wheel to 'push down' to add height.

Any help at all is greatly appreciated.

Hello, Bob. I unfortunately was not able to find a good replacement for this old roller. The best option we have in our inventory, in my opinion, is our 81-293. The design is very different but I think the way it installs is more or less the same. That said, it's still so different that I cannot guarantee that it will work.

If your existing housing is still in good shape see if you could replace the wheel with just our 81-266 wheel and axle kit. At the end of the day I think this is your best hope.
