1980s Pella Patio Door Riklers

Home Owner from Raleigh, NC
Do you have original Pella rollers to replace these?
The Pella doors I have are from around 1981.
Attached are photos.
Regards.

Hello,

We carry two rollers that fit the Pella wood patio glass door. We have the genuine Pella 81-098 and the generic roller 81-249, which will both work for the Pella door. However, the wheel in the generic roller 81-249 "extends" out 1/4" past the bottom of the roller housing. Make sure you have the clearance under your door between the door and track to reinstall the glass door. Thank you!

I've read that the roller with the flange is for the Designer series and can't be used for the 'Original Pella' Series. The information in your post, doesn't differentiate between the two Pella door lines. The answer is not clear which roller works with the 1980's 'Original Pella' series. Can you please differentiate between the two rollers and indicate which is to be used in the 1980's Original Pella Series door. Thanks.

The newer Pella roller, 81-244, has a taller housing at 1-7/8" and a width of 21/32". The 81-098 roller has a height of 1-11/16" and a width of 11/16". I would cut to the chase and just replace your Pella roller with the same one that you have now since you could run into problems trying to use a different roller.
