1980's era slider latch assembly needs replacement

I have a sliding door latch that needs replacement, the screws are 9.5" OC.

I purchased an older condo with this recessed sliding door assembly with a broken off upright handle. We cut the handle off with a Dremel and found that the two screws that hold the inside and outside plate assemblies together just spin and do not disengage. The thing needs to be replaced. Do you have or can you get this?
