1982 aluminum window balance channels

A handy person from El Dorado Hills, CA. says:
We have 3 broken balance channels for our 1982 57" x 34"aluminum windows and cant seem to find an exact match. The bottom piece of the balance channel seems to be rounded in all of the replacement channels we have seen and ours is pointed (best seen in last picture attached) - other than that they are very similar. The number etched on the channel is 27 C.

Thanks for posting. It looks like you have a 28" Channel Balance (not including the nylon fittings on each end) with a 19-002 Top Fitting. For the bottom fitting, I'd like you to measure its depth, or 'heel-to-toe' measurement. The image below depicts what I'm talking about for two types of balances, the Series 380 and Series 385. See if your balance's shoe matches one of these, or is in fact greater than both (I think it might be). Let me know what you find.

Yes its the 380 series 28" long and 1". the only difference is the plastic shoe at the bottom is more pointy than round like yours

So long as the depth is indeed 1", then the S380-28 should work for you. For a stamp option, choose 2730.
